Irony at its finest.

This picture was taken on the Fourth of July. Independence Day. The day that we celebrate the freedoms that our country has and appreciate those who fought for the independence, who gave us the rights that we take for granted 364 days a year. We have one day to truly celebrate and remember and devote the day to that freedom.

In preparation for this day in Kid's Camp at the resort we prepared lesson plans on the founding fathers, we prepared new crafts that took hours to get ready (cutting out little foam stars until you can see the imprint of the scissors on your hand), and making a float to parade around the resort with to remind everyone while we're celebrating on our rocking golf cart. We were finally ready the day before and we just hoped that kids would come that day and be ready to have the Independence Day of their lives. But did we get lots of kids, not so much.

We had one little girl, Mila. She was Canadian. She didn't care about America's independence.

Bummer.

**Little known fact, Independence Day happened July 5th this year also. We weren't going to let all of our preparation go to waste, so we did it again the next day for the little American boys that we had.
