Honeymoon: Part 1

I remember promising some honeymoon pictures.  Too bad that we forgot to download our pictures for the longest time (since we don't have a camera, we borrowed my parents' camera) and then they were downloaded and he kept forgetting to bring a means to bring them back to our computers. But anyway, we have them now, so huzzah!

We were just getting into our stateroom.  Kevin was admiring his handsome face in the mirror and I caught him in a rare moment of striking a model pose.  Ow! Ow!

Beautiful and exotic Catalina Island.  We walked around a bit, and enjoyed the islandy feel of the island.  The theater house or casino (whatever that thing was) was gorgeous!  And the weather was just perfect.

Getting our baywatch action on.  Did we get in the water?  No.  Did we take advantage of the awesome giant chair? Absolutely we did.

Its difficult getting pictures of both of you when you're on your honeymoon.  Especially because neither one of us likes asking people to take our picture. So, this is the best we could do, the ol' arm length shot.

Heading back to the ship on the tender. Fun story, the almost didn't let me back on the ship despite me having a room key (which they scan and a picture of you comes up) and a drivers license (also with my picture on it) because... here's the kicker... my hair was curly.  In both the pictures I had straightened my hair, so I was apparently unrecognizable.  Good thing Kevin was there to vouch for me.

Formal night on the ship.  We were dressed to the nines while Kevin and I enjoyed Lobster tail, steak, tiger shrimp, and (my favorite) Chocolate Melting Cake.  I think I had that every night.  In addition to a couple of other desserts.  We definitely got our food on almost constantly.  Not to mention the 24/7 ice cream machine that we frequented.

He's a winner.  Kevin won an authentic 24 karat gold plastic ship on a stick!  He won the ship's ping pong tournament.  He bested me (barely) and then went on to the finals to beat an Asian teenager who had mad skills.  It was impressive.  We ended up winning two trophies, the other one was for a brain buster challenge which we rocked at.

Ensenada, Mexico. We were charting the actual day the world is going to end.  Its turns out they were right, December 21, 2012.  Goodbye world!

That's right, for only $5.95 you can have an all in one camera! It shoots both indoors and... get this... outdoors too!  What a steal, what a bargain, I can hardly believe it!

Getting late in Ensenada.  We wanted to get back before we got kidnapped and sold for drug money.  Don't worry, we made it.  Without buying any luchador masks, bracelets, flip flops, hammocks, wood knockers, or chiclets.  We let down the city by escaping with only 4 ounces of Mexican vanilla.

Oh our way to dinner.  Again.  Its funny how we would go to the formal dining and then go straight back up to the buffet and get another little something something and some ice cream.  We had to eat something while we watched the college bowl games.  Everybody eats three dinners on a cruise, right?
